The exhibition is open from 20 July until August 17 2021, from Monday to Saturday from 19 to 22.
The first solo exhibition in Croatia by the Japanese artist Go Segawa will be accompanied by works that create both transparent and optically three-dimensional sculptures / objects. Combining painting and sculpture, the author plays with geometric shapes and compositions, creating sculptures in which three conceptually different elements can be felt at the same time: two-dimensionality, three-dimensionality and gravity. He transfers the drawing on plexiglass panels and then superimposes them, which results in threedimensional creations.
Go Segawa (1970, Saitama, Japan) graduated from L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression Plastique (2001). He obtains the Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées (2004) at University of Rennes2, with the thesis entitled Creators of Artistic and Cultural Multi-media Products. Segawa continues with advanced studies at University of Paris8 : Master’s degree in “Virtual Reality” (2006), and registered in Doctorate degree, research towards in the department “Art and Technology of the Image”. He lives and works in France, where he regularly exhibits his works as well as in Japan and Germany.
